3-day Mindfulness Supervision Training with Alison Evans

About the trainer: Allison Evans

Alison Evans1Alison Evans has a passionate interest in Mindfulness-based Supervision
and focuses her work in this area as both the Supervision Lead in The Mindfulness Network
and Supervision Trainer with CMRP at Bangor University. As a long-standing practitioner,
she is interested in exploring the depth and potential of practice in relation to work within the MBI field.

About the training

A key good practice requirement for mindfulness-based teachers is engaging regularly with a Mindfulness Supervisor.

Mindfulness Supervision is a regular space that is contracted between supervisor and supervisee that enables them to reflect together on the supervisee's mindfulness practice and explore how it impacts and integrates with their work and life.
This process is dedicated to developing and deepening the growth, understanding and effectiveness of the supervisee's application of mindfulness, both personally and in their working life.

This course will be of interest to experienced mindfulness teachers and practitioners who are already supervising, or are interested in beginning to supervise from a mindfulness-based stance.

We will explore together the underlying principles, tasks and functions of supervision from a mindfulness perspective, and introduce a Mindfulness Supervision Model including a supervisory inquiry process.
Discussion and skills practice will focus on how this can be applied in supervision across a spectrum of mindfulness-based approaches, including the supervision of students, teachers, those working one to one, and in groups and organizations.

The intention of this workshop is to create an open, spacious learning environment, which will encourage and support spontaneity and creativity as we explore the mindfulness supervisory relationship. We will spend time together in meditation practice, in dialogue in small and larger groups and in practising supervision skills.

Who is this training for?

Experienced mindfulness teachers (at least TDR1 level (basisopleiding) and recommended TDR2 level (vervolgopleiding)) having taught a minimum of nine mindfulness courses over the last three years) who offer mindfulness supervision or have an interest in offering mindfulness supervision. We ask that you have experience with mindfulness supervision yourself (as a supervisee) and preferably are currently being supervised yourself. As mindful inquiry is a substantial aspect of mindfulness supervision, we also explicitly ask that you have experience in the mindfulness inquiry process.
